Accessing MSD SUB Loaner Chromebook

Pick up your Sub CB, USB-C HDMI adapter, and Clever Sub badge to login for the teacher you are supporting from the main office.

Be sure to return it to the main office at the end of each school day.

Logging into the MSD SUB Loaner Chromebook

Open the Chromebook
Wait for the screen to load
Select your language and click the arrow to start your sub session for the day.
Two tabs will open:
- PowerSchool Sub (for attendance; get the PW from the main office secretary) -and-
- Clever
On the Clever tab, Choose "Clever Badge Login."
A pop up will appear that says "Clever wants to Use your Camera." Click "Allow while visiting this site."
The camera will load and now you can hold your Sub Clever Badge up to the screen, it will automatically log you in to the teacher's page that has been shared with you.

What Tabs Open up on the MSD Sub Kiosk Chromebook after I login?

Two tabs will open:

The Clever Portal for you to access content and sub plans

The PowerSchool Sub Portal for attendance (Please check with your main office secretary for the password that you will need to use to take attendance)

Connecting to the Promethean Board or Projector for Projection

Attach the USB-C to HDMI Adapter to the Chromebook.
Walk up to the promethean board and locate the HDMI cord that is already connected for you.
Connect the Adapter to the Chromebook
Click on GUEST to login to the promethean board.
The display should automatically appear and what is on the chromebook should now appear on the Promethean Board. If it does not, press the CTRL + Display key as indicated below in the image.
That will now "mirror" the display so what appears on the SUB CB will now appear on the Promethean Screen.

Leveraging the Clever Sub Portal

Now just click on whichever resource you need to access for the class.

When you click on a resource, if it is an application, you will be logged in as the teacher you are subbing for. Please proceed with caution and make sure to only access the things needed for instruction!

You may notice that some applications are grey and inaccessible. These are applications that the school’s Clever Admin has chosen not to provide substitute access to for security reasons. Please contact your school's IT team if you need to access one of these applications.
